About Tawany Almeida, MD

Dr. Almeida was born in Brazil and raised in Richmond, Virginia as a child. She earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Following residency, she practiced as an OB/GYN in Virginia for two years, caring for women through every stage of life.
Dr. Almeida has a special interest in high-risk obstetrics and surgical robotics. In addition to English, she is fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish. Dr. Almeida is excited to begin a new chapter in Arizona, where she is relocating with her husband, who serves in the United States Air Force, and their beloved puppy. She looks forward to becoming part of the Arizona community and building lasting relationships with her patients.
