About Katherine Routson, DO
Dr. Routson is an OB/GYN born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, where she also completed her undergraduate and medical degrees. As a fourth-year medical student, she rotated at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital and quickly fell in love with the program, leading her to complete her residency training there. She is currently serving as a chief resident and her career interests are general obstetrics as well as minimally invasive gynecological surgery, with an emphasis on robotic surgery. As an Arizona native, Dr. Routson is excited to return to the desert and care for the community she calls home.
Dr. Routson is known for her warm, approachable manner and thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to patient care. She believes trust and open communication are the foundation of excellent healthcare and strives to ensure every patient feels heard, respected, and supported throughout their journey. Patients appreciate her calm presence, attentiveness, and genuine investment in their well-being. Her goal is to create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating in their care.
In her free time, Dr. Routson enjoys traveling with her fiancé (soon to be husband), as well as hiking, trail running, Peloton workouts, and hot yoga.
