Dr. Wester earned her MD degree from Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa, and her BS degree in Integrated Physiology with a minor in religious studies from the University of Iowa in Iowa City. She completed her residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson. Dr. Wester was the recipient of the Resident Research Award and the Resident Teaching Award and was honored by the Gold Humanism Honor Society in recognition of “compassion and sensitivity in the delivery of healthcare to patients.” Her professional interests include prenatal care, contraception, pelvic prolapse, and international health.
