About Women’s Imaging Center (Ultrasounds)

This office only accepts appointments from referrals. Please call your provider’s office for more information.

Your healthcare provider may determine that an ultrasound is necessary, to check on the progress of your baby during pregnancy or to diagnose a concern you may have been experiencing. Medically necessary ultrasounds are helpful to your health and well-being as a woman, beyond discovering whether you will have a boy or girl when pregnant! A pelvic ultrasound can be a beneficial part of your gynecological care. GYN ultrasounds can accurately assess and diagnose many different things in your pelvic area even if you’re not pregnant.

During pregnancy, you will have a sonogram when it is medically indicated. We use the imaging to determine your due date, check on the growth of the baby, to survey the baby and placenta, and to assess any issues that may arise, such as bleeding.

Our Imaging and Ultrasound Center is accredited by the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine (AIUM) to perform gynecological and abdominal ultrasounds as well as obstetrical ultrasounds throughout all three trimesters of your pregnancy. The AIUM accreditation is the hallmark of a practice that meets nationally accepted standards of patient care, demonstrates consistent excellence in our work, and is current with the latest ultrasound technology.
